Rotherhithe bridge and the Greenwich Wheel

A Google Alert notified me of a new post on a blog by a chap named Richard Elliot re the proposed footbridge linking Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf. Apparently he was stopped by a Sustrans representative who was conducting a survey about local reaction to the bridge. It would be good to see how the survey is phrased - and also to see the results. The survey that appears on the Sustrans website on the Sustrans Goal page has one question, a request for your contact details and a link to become a Sustrans supporter, so I imagine that it's not the same one!

Going back through earlier posts on the same blog I found one about the Greenwhich Wheel. I hadn't heard of it before, but it sounds like a lot of fun - a smaller and faster version of the London Eye which is only around until September. See Richard's blog for some photographs.

He also gives the thumbs-up to the Kaya House restaurant in Deptford, which just shows that local bloggers have good taste :-)
